Let us share with you 5 very effective home remedies for sunburn straight from your kitchen:
1. Lemon or Calamansi Juice
The acidity of lemon juice will help heal your burn fast. But don't apply it directly as it will burn your skin
- Squeeze one fresh lemon or calamansi to get the juice
- Mix it with water
- Preserve it in a bottle
- Soak a cotton in the juice and apply it on the affected area
- Leave it for 10-15 minutes
- Wash it with cool water
2. Milk
The coolness of milk helps sooth your burnt skin.
- Soak a clean cloth on the milk
- Drape across your burn, pressing gently so that it stays in place, and leave it on for as long as needed
- The milk will create a protein film that helps ease sunburn discomfort.
3. Corn Starch or Baking Soda
Both can minimize the pain and lessen the redness of the burn
- Mix enough amount (depending on our burn) of corn starch or baking soda in a cool water (not cold)
- Mix it until it becomes pastelike
- Apply the paste gently over your burn and leave it on until the heat or pain has subsided
- Rinse off completely
4. Apple Cider Vinegar
- Fill a spray bottle with pure unfiltered apple cider vinegar
- After shower, spritz a little on the affected area
- Let it dry
5. Cucumber

- Slice up a chilled cucumber
- Lay the slices on your burnt skin
Option 2
- Chill 1 or 2 cucumbers in a refrigerator
- Process them in a blender until it becomes a paste
- Apply it on the affected area
