Now, the dillema is...how do you treat sunburn?

Let us share with you 5 very effective home remedies for sunburn straight from your kitchen:

1. Lemon  or Calamansi Juice

The acidity of lemon juice will help heal your burn fast. But don't apply it directly as it will burn your skin
  • Squeeze one fresh lemon or calamansi to get the juice
  • Mix it with water
  • Preserve it in a bottle
  • Soak a cotton in the  juice and apply it on the affected area
  • Leave it for 10-15 minutes
  • Wash it with cool water

2. Milk

The coolness of milk helps sooth your burnt skin.
  • Soak a clean cloth on the milk
  • Drape across your burn, pressing gently so that it stays in place, and leave it on for as long as needed
  • The milk will create a protein film that helps ease sunburn discomfort.

3. Corn Starch or Baking Soda

Both can minimize the pain and lessen the redness of the burn
  • Mix enough amount (depending on our burn) of corn starch or baking soda in a cool water (not cold)
  • Mix it until it becomes pastelike
  • Apply the paste gently over your burn and leave it on until the heat or pain has subsided
  • Rinse off completely

4. Apple Cider Vinegar

  • Fill a spray bottle with pure unfiltered apple cider vinegar
  • After shower, spritz a little on the affected area
  • Let it dry

5. Cucumber

Option 1
  • Slice up a chilled cucumber
  • Lay the slices on your burnt skin

Option 2
  • Chill 1 or 2 cucumbers in a refrigerator
  • Process them in a blender until it becomes a paste
  • Apply it on the affected area
