Vestibular Papillae also known as Vestibular Papillomatosis is an anatomical type of vestibular mucosa.
In another reference, it is a cutaneous condition of the vulva, characterized by pink, asymptomatic, fine projections of the vestibular epithelium or labia minora. It is the female equivalent to hirsuties coronae glandis. It is often thought to be human papillomavirus (HPV), but several studies have disproved this; the condition is not viral, and is not sexually transmitted (not an STD).
Genital warts - firm in texture, and pink, red and white in color. It appears in random, cauliflower shape
Vestibular Papillae - are the same color as nearby mucosal tissue and soft in texture. it appears in a symmetrical configuration, and are usually arranged in lines
If it doesn't bother you, the doctor will tell you to observe the condition first. However, for patients who are self-conscious, they would recommend acid treatments to burn the papules. It is done by the doctor himself and may cause mild discomfort. The procedure will be repeated until the papules are gone.
Warning: Treatments for the removal of vestibular papillae are NOT recommended for pregnant women.

"Vestibular papillae are normal in the time period between menarche and menopause frequencies of occurrence differ considerably from 1% to more than 50% due to variety of interrelated genetic and environmental factors influencing the reproductive system development."(excerpt: hymen-virgin-membrane.com)
Cause of Vestibular Papillae
- Unknown. Some professionals believe that they possibly occur due to blocked sebaceous glands. These papules on closer examination look like just subcutaneous tissues with blood vessels as well, and all covered in a neat layer of normal mucosal epithelium. There will be no other abnormalities found that can give a clue as to why they actually occur. (nomorepenilepapules.com)
