If you love to cook, you may have been using bouillon or stock cubes. Chicken, pork, beef, they come in different brands, some are very famous. Usually, we buy these cubes to enhance the flavor of our foods. But what we do not know is that the thing that gives it flavor, MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE, is very dangerous to our health.
Also known as simply MSG or Monosodium Glutamate, this chemical compound have been found to cause certain health illnesses when ingested, such as skin allergies, headaches, irregular heartbeat, depression, nausea, and so much more. Although some may have not seen or felt the effect now, but eventually, it will take toll on their health.
According to studies, consumption of MSG on a daily bases can pose serious health risks because it affects the acetycholine production in our endocrine system. This substance lessens the absorption of glucose in our body. When too much acetylcholine is produced, it will result in Alzheimer's disease, weight gain and, according to experts, neurodegenerative conditions.
Sodium glutamate has been added to almost all our foods these days. Some in junk foods, others in chicken, pork, vegetable and beef cubes. Instead of using such products to give flavor to your food, you may use salt, pepper or even a pinch of sugar. It works!
