Boils. These are skin infection that starts in the oil glands, forms a small bump then gets bigger and turn white as it collects pus after days. Boils are caused by bacteria that develop into abscess which can be very serious.
Usually, it appear on the face, armpit, neck, shoulders, legs and buttocks.
To alleviate the pain and lessen the symptoms, you can try these effective home remedies for boils. Do these at the early stage of the condition.
1. Guava leaves
- Take a few guava leaves and wash it in tap water
- Put it in a pot of water
- Let it boil
- Wash the affected area with the solution
Note:
If the boil is at the buttocks area, pour the solution in a small basin and sit on it for 5-10 minutes or until the solution gets cold. This way, it will soak the boil for it to drain the swollen area easily.
2. Virgin coconut oil
- Apply virgin coconut oil on the boil every 2 hours.
3. Turmeric
Helps reduce inflammation because of its natural anti-inflammatory content
- Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric and a glass of water
- Let it boil in a pot
- Drink it 2-3 times a day for 5 days
4. Warm compress
- Soak a clean cloth in warm water
- Place it over the boil for 10 minutes
- Do this 3-4 times daily

5. Garlic
- Take 3 cloves of garlic and mince it until it turns into a paste
- Put it onto the affected area
6. Lifestyle change
- Always drink water to clean and remove the toxic from your body
- Eat healthy foods
- Take a rest to help your body fight infections and other forms of illnesses
