Women usually douche to keep themselves feeling fresh down their private area. Most of the time, they use intimate wash that are offered in the market.
But according to a U.S. study, women who were reported to washing their vajayjay "ALMOST doubled their risk of developing OVARIAN CANCER."
In previous researches, it has been found that pelvic inflammatory disease, yeast infections and ectopic pregnancies, reduced fertility, cervical cancer, HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases are associated with vaginal rinsing using devices.
"A douche flushes water up into the vagina and clears out natural secretions designed to keep the vagina healthy, which may increase the risk of infections," says PubMed Health.
They added that douching products contain phthalates, chemicals that may interrupt the regulation of hormones into the reproductive tract, which could result to ovarian cancer.
While vaginal hygiene is VERY important, it is advised to only use unscented mild soaps and water to wash the surrounding areas because VAGINAS clean themselves with natural secretions.
