For so many years, Apple Cider Vinegar has been one of the go to products when it comes to health and wellness. Even the registered dietitian and professor at the School of Nutrition and Health Promotion at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Carol Johnston, PhD, approves of using it after finding out what it can do to our body through years of scientific study and research.
Apple cider vinegar has an active content called acetic acid that provides so many superb benefits to the body. But Johnston suggests to dilute the vinegar first with water before using it as a drink or applying it topically. Why? Because our esophagus cannot stand all the acid of the vinegar. Aside from that, you SHOULD NOT take it in large doses because, according to her, "acetic acid is a poison and can have toxic effects,". She also added, "You'll see some benefits with one tablespoon, and significant effects with two, but there's never a time when more than that is better."
Resets your skin's pH, softens and exfoliates skin and reduces red spots - particularly to those who are always having acne because of oily skin.
Prevents ingrown hair and soothes skin after shaving
Disinfects home. Works better than most chemical cleaners. Effectively fights food-born pathogens like E.Coli
Stops odor by killing the bacteria or fungi causing them
Treats badly stained sheets and clothes
Most animals hate the smell of vinegar and avoid it at all costs.
Can be used in sauces and marinades to balance the taste. You can also add it on soups, bone broth, baked goods, smoothies and salad dressings
Fights germ and infection because of its acidity
Contains potassium which helps thin mucus and acetic acid that prevents growth of germs and bacteria that causes stuffy nose
The acetic acid controls your appetite while controlling your metabolism. It also reduces water retention and interferes with the body in digesting of starch leading to lesser calories entering the bloodstream
Has amino acids that fights lactic acid buildup that causes stress and fatigue
If your body is lacks potassium, you may feel leg cramps. Apple cider vinegar is high in potassium
